We've been playing XFrisk. If you'd like to join in, talk to hatter or me! (It's Risk on the computer, if the name is not obvious enough).

I now have a copy of Q3: Team Arena, so anyone interested in claiming the title of "n00b killer" is welcome to join me for a game ;)

Hi all,

I don't often play games except for Civ (III PtW or CtP), but I have Quake 3 [Team] Arena installed, and I have Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Tribes 2, but they're not currently installed.

To be honest I suck at all of the above, really. I'm in a 4 human play-by-email game of CivIII PtW currently, which I'm unlikely to win unless I get really lucky. (On Regent difficulty. Usually I play on Warlord, which I can mostly win - Regent is not impossible for me, just less likely.)

I am crotchety. I mostly play online versions of boardgames, I like Monopoly (the best web version seems to be at Playsite, or monopd + a client will do). I also play Risk now and then with XFRisk.

I also have a few strategy games I keep meaning to try online but never seem to get round to, my favourites being Age of Empires II and Star Wars: Supremacy (aka Star Wars: Rebellion).

Of course computer games are only there to pass the time between real games ;-)

Well hello there!

Lately I've been playing Counter-Strike online with the Warcraft 3 mod. In the past I have played Tanarus, Starcraft with or without Brood Wars, Warcraft 2, Quake 2, Jedi Knight and Mysteries of the Sith, X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, Subspace, C&C: Red Alert, Monopoly, and Settlers of Catan online. Games I have but haven't played online yet include Dungeon Keeper 2, other Half-Life mods, Grand Theft Auto, Age of Empires 1 or 2, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

I would be interested in a PBeM game of Space Empires III (full version). I plan to get Space Empires IV soon.

I also have an internet-capable Dreamcast with Phantasy Star Online (original version).

I don't play any online games.
But I used to! :)

Kingpin, Quake2/3, Rogue Spear. I used to PbEM Panzer General as well, if that counts.
I'm interested in online games though, so I'll keep reading.

Allright, I should follow my own guidelines and make an introductory post.

At the moment I'm particularly interested in trying out the "Stronghold: Crusader" online skirmishy bit, and I still haven't gotten a chance to put the "play the world" part of the Civ III "Play the World" expansion to any use. I don't consider myself to be particularly good at either game (I'm okay at Stronghold, and I can beat the Chieftan level of Civ without trouble).

I've also got Giants: Citizen Kabuto, Neverwinter Nights, and Dungeon Siege that have had their online components sorely neglected.

Well, I'm here. I'm a fan of PC games. I just would rather play games on my PC than on a console. I tend to enjoy RPGs, Sim games (as in SimCity, The Sims -- not flight sims and such), some turn-based strategy (I really need to reinstall Alpha Centauri at some point), and a few other titles.

I was looking for a PC-only gaming community when I came across this place, but finding a LiveJournal community actually dedicated to gamers who remember how to type the English language was refreshing enough that I decided to post. :)
